hey gus where can i get a engineer certificate in adelaide to approve my raptor kit when i get it thanxs guys
Ring Regency Pk, they'll put you in the right direction.
Shut up when I'm talkin' to you, you hear me, answer me!
To pass a supercharger here you will have to pass an emissions test. At the moment I believe Mitsubishi motors do the testing here, but Regency Park are installing a proper emissions tester there soon (Not sure if its in yet?).
To my knowledge, nobody in Adelaide has done this with aftermarket forced induction (they've tried, but failed). You get 2 goes and thats it. After the second go you cannot try again on that vehicle even if you pay the money again.
It costs between $2000-$3000 to get an emissions test. Thats for one go, another $2-3k for a second and FINAL chance.
To be honest, you'd be lucky to pass with a VX stock standard seeing as they're getting on a bit now.
yeh doubt it will pass.... the emission testing is a drive cycle test at the mitsubishi plant and theres no way in hell an aftermarket F/I motor will pass....
Yep. Have you heard of anyone passing either?
To the OP, I would suggest you save your money and not get it approved. If you are defected or what not, simply remove it.
It would be much easier if Raptor were able to provide a compliance plate with their kits like some of the LS1 turbo kits.
thanxs guys for the advice
Wow, didnt think it was that hard...

just go l67 conversion then. probably cheaper, legal, and youll be faster than it would be with a raptor on there. you wont get as high of a power readout but that doesnt matter. a centrifugal charger will normally give higher kw than a roots blower, like the l67, but youll go faster because there is more power down low to get you going.

how much to fit do you think? i just sent him an email to find out about shipping and kays thanxs for that stocky
dunno. i wouldnt bother paying anyone to fit it. cant be that hard to do yourself. good way to learn. just make sure you have no problems bolting it up to your current gearbox, and see if it comes with computer/memcal. also do some research on vt/vx l67 wiring. check for any differences with it.
just remember a standard engine is 165kw or so. see which of your current mods you can move to the l67, and then do some upgrades like a smaller pulley, and youll start making a bit more power.
