Ok,
NRMA came.
He suspected the fuel pump, but that was fine.
He pulled out a spark plug lead to check for spark and was no spark.
He suspects it may the module underneath the coil pack. Since i changed the Crank Angle Sensor yesterday he said the module may have decided to
sh1t itself.
I reset the battery and got the same codes:
46, 47, 48 and 49.

kewl - one thing though. Yesterday after i put the old one back in, it fired up normal.
This morning, the Mrs started it and it was idling very lumpy, so she jumped back into the Mother-In-Law's car to go to work.
Thinking of resetting the codes, how long should i disconnect the battery for??

10 seconds is all you need.
It may be a problem with the loom or the plugs in the PCM causing all those error codes. Make sure they are all clean and tight.

Ok, i found the shuddering problem.
Lead 5 socket was fubar'd. They were 8mm boash leads. The spring inside the socket was screwed up and was preventing it from being plugged in properly.
So anyways, all is running smooth, and no error codes yet.
Cheers to all contributed!!

Hi Again,
Just wanted to say, still no problems with stalling anymore. Looks like i only needed to give the original CAS a clean.
Since then no major issues.
A couple of times i went to start the car and got absolutely nothing when trying to crank, absolutley no sound. As if i were trying to crank a car without a battery.(i have a new battery by the way) could it be the key thats about to die??
And once i was driving and the red light on the trip buttons was blinking really fast.
Apart from that, smooth sailing.
Plannig to return the CAS that didnt work and get a store credit for some new leads.

So anyways, the car is still playing up.
It has new Fuel Pump, New Leads.
Codes 46 and 47 appear, and for the last week it has had trouble starting, it just cranks, thats it. It happens more so when the car has already been driven.
I also noticed that there was some oil around the lead cap on plug 6, so i think i need to change the rocker cover gasket pretty soon??
On Saturday im gonna pull out the computer (not sure which one is responsible for starting the car) and my dad's gonna check for dry joints.
I'll prolly change the starter relay as well, but i dont think thats the problem.
Any thoughts!!!!!

going from info when i did my cas sensor in the VL years ago, they are cheap and made of plastic, when they cold they work great, once the car heats up and gets going the plastic warps and fubars up causing the stalling. you will need to replace it, or keep it cool permanently.

Ah-Saw
Ok, no probs.
I still have the CAS that i purchased in April 08. As i mentioned in an earlier post, the car was fine on the day that i installed the new CAS, but it wouldnt crank the following day. I put the old one back in and it worked.
Looking at the box, it says "Suits Holden Commodore VP-VT 6 Cylinders". Its made by "Vortex" and it cost me $50.
What are the chances of getting a faulty CAS??
