VX Front Shockies

I got a problem with my front shockies which occured overnight. I've got a VX 02' Spack. While driving i noticed that whenever i went over a bump or a slight pothole my shockies sound like a big thump or like metal on metal. Or a better idea is like when you hope in an old taxi and you hear it squeak. Its hard to pin point the noise. It mostly sounds like its coming from the LHS but then i think it also comes from the RHS.

Is it normal for them to just break overnight or was there a warning that i wasnt aware of? How much am I expecting to payout?

Sounds like the sway bar link bush. You can get the Nolathene replacement kit and DIY for $40 from Repco. They are longer lasting than OEM. Do both sides simultaneously IMO.
