    Question l67 inlet manifold

I'm replacing the LIM gasket on my VT, almost got it back together but something is bugging me.

There's a hole at the very rear (typical) of the inlet manifold and I have no idea what's supposed to go in there. It's right next to where the water bypass pipe bolts onto the rear of the inlet manifold. I can't remember taking anything out of it and can't see any hoses or anything nearby that look as if they go in there. MY manual is next to useless, can't find anything in any pictures or anything.

I'm dreading that there is supposed to be a welch plug or something that goes in there. If there is it must have fallen out by itself when I was cleaning it cause I didn't remove it. Maybe it's a vacant hole with nothing going to it (optimism).

Can someone enlighten me on this one I'd hate to finish the job only to find that I have missid somethign that requires me to start all over again.

    Cheers..

The only thing I can think of that connects to the rear of the manifold is a thin vacuum hose for the heater controls.
I just found a photo and the vacuum hose is above the hole you are talking about. Looks like the hole should be blocked with some sort of plug.

Great photo but I believe that's the front of the intake manifold. That vacuum hose is blocked off on mine. The hole in question may very well be the one at the very rear of the manifold.

There are three holes there, two of which have litttle yellow 'o'-rings in them, the other one I'm not sure but may connect to the rear which is what I am after.

The front hole in that photo looks blocked off by I'm pretty sure that's where the heater connection goes.

Thanks for looking though, much appreciated.
