I've got a VX and i've installed a UHF radio and i'm setting up the radio antenna. I thought front bonnet but it obscures my vision so i thought it'd mount it on the boot. When i held the antenna bracket u an L shape bracket the way the boot is designed it makes it stick out on an angle so i thought of bending the bracket in but then i can't open the boot cause it would hit. Any ideas? Mabye just mounting it to the actual boot lid instead? Cheers
Get a window mounted aerial. Might not have as good range, but i still got a good 20k's with my one (came with 2 sizes, that just screw on, one small mobile phone size, and one about 500mm long)

The local 2 way place up here mounts most of the ss or ones with big wings like this..
i put the uhf areal in the spot of the usual radio areal and then got a radio areal that just sticks to the back window its about 20 cm long and sits flat on the inside of the window wouldnt even know its there. the uhf areal is more important to be set up properly than a radio areal. personally i like my way no window areals neat and tidy nothing is cut up or ugly areal mount. pluss no stupid electric areal to stuff up and break 2 of mine had broken so far.

Yeah i was thinking of what "boganv8" had in mind mounting it to the boot lid. I just gotta find a bracket that is L shape in the other direction or bend one i guess.
