bonnet scoop or not?

hey everyone, i was thinking about what bonnet scoop or bulges people have put on there cars an was wonderin how easy it is to do? post ya pics up an show em off.

oh yeah, that looks preety good ey. was thinkin bout tha ford bulge, but they way over done now

i thought it came up pretty well....
the new ford ones are a little harder to install
cause as far as i know you have to fiberglass them to the bonnet... as they have no lip on them
which then would require you to re-paint the bonnet

11SLI had a XR8 bulge on his TT VU SS, not sure if he's on this forum, could always ask him.

What are you doing under the bonnet to warrant a bulge anyway?

i was looking at extending the plenium to create longer tubes
not sure if im still going to do that...
but that was the main reason for the scoop in the first place

Definantly go with a bulge like a group a bulge or like the one above. Hornet scoops etc look CRAP (and i mean CRAP) on V6 commodores.

according to a couple of panel beaters on the S.C forum around $800 including purchase of the bulge, but i got other things done at the same time + i never asked him how much for just the bonnet itself.

I'm not a fan of the bulge/scoop if it isn't doing anything, It's like putting a rear wing on a FWD to me...

yer i aint much of a fan when it comes to the bulge, on a V6 aswell.... but ihave seen a few good ones, so wuld love to see how yours turns out mate ::thumbs::

its really a asthestic thing more than anything, its like putting a bodykit on a VT exec. you do it 'cos it makes it look better. And some of the bulges do, do something take IISLI for example his helps to get excess heat out of his engine bay.
