the reverse light switches are prone for failing.... the "fix" for problem is to run a relay setup which only uses about 1 amp to power the relay instead of running 15 amps thru the switch which burns them out

if you know anything about electrics you shouldnt ahve a problem

hey mate, i had the same problem in my vt about a week ago, bought a new reverse light switch for the gearbox and problem solved. 50 bucks genuine but i thought that was nothing considering the original lasted nine years.

very easy to install took me about 2 minutes.

    15amps? isn't the reverse globe like 15watts or something like that? so thats 30watts for 2 lights. Current = Power/Voltage = 30/13.8 = 2.2amps?
