Question How do I change my parking lights?

    Hi,
I've searched your forum and had no luck with finding how to change the parking lights on my VX Berlina. I attempted it myself. I know how to change the headlights (removing the cap, pulling the cable out, unclipping the metal wire lock and removing the bulb...) but I cant seem to figure out how to remove the parking lights. I can see the parking lights move when touching on some wires, but nothing that pulls the bulbs out. Can someone please give me some clear instructions to follow in order to replace my parking lights? It would be much appreciated.

Not sure about the VX berlina but assume it is the same as the SS.

The parker sockets are in tubes in each head light beside the main bulb.

Pull out battery or air duct etc to get to the back of the light....remove the caps then trace the wires to the parkers . Gently pull on the wires if you cannot get to the sockets. Long noise pliers may help.

The sockets just pull out of the tube, (no twist or clip) then you can replace the bulbs then reinsert.

    Good luck

Hmm I don't think that is my model. But thanks for the help!

Once I undo the metal clips, the headlight bulbs come out easily, but the parking lights don't. When I pull on the wires that are connected to them, I can see the bulbs move, but it's as if something is preventing them from actually coming out.

Just pull the wires a little harder. The globes slide out, nothing holding them in.

It is better to unplug the headlight globe by pulling at the connector and not the wires. This is the same for any plug, less chance of breaking wires. In the case of the park globes you have no choice but to pull the wires.

Sorry if I offended you but from your post I got the impression you pulled the wires from the globe. I was only offering advice not only to you but others that read the post. I have seen people pull the wires instead of the plug, even mechanics. I'm talking about all plugs or connectors not just the headlight ones.

    Helpful thread!

I just changed mine, and yea... You just need to yank on the wire (in my VT it was a light green one) to get it out. I was having trouble figuring it out but once you know its pretty easy!

The best tool to use is your finger. Just unclip the long wire handle part of the clip.
