    Exclamation inside lights

    hi guys just a question, my inside lights dont come on when i open the door, they will only come on when the car is on and the doors open, the lights are the door trim lights and the roof lights. it started to happen when i changed my bcm. is that the problem? thanxs scott

    Hey you might have a base model bcm in a Calais?? were the numbers on the bcm the same

    na it was a low i removed and replaced with a high, and i forgot i dont have an immobilizer anymore i only flashes once when i lock it and before it done it twice

    id say that is were the prob is, those bcm's had a bad solder issue. if you have a soldering iron you could go over the circuit board and re-solder all the connections in the origional bcm this some time fixes them. But prob best of trackin another low spec from some were.

    where is the bcm located? thanxs for the imput

    The BCM is located up in the dash sort of above the fuse panel. It clips into place. Push the bottom of the BCM towards the front of the car to unclip it.

    just rang holden they said the tech 2 needs to be updated of a cost of $60 min if its straight foward? does that sound right,

    Yeah new bcm needs to be programed to your key. $60 is nearly an hours labour that sounds a bit rough for a 10 min job, any one with a decent scan tool should be able to code it in but i don't know what the prices should be. just make sure the one you buy suits your car.

    Yes, the new BCM needs to be linked to the ECU.

    thanxs guys so i will get the tech 2 chananged, i will get them to change my speedo while there coz it reads wrong due to diff upgrade

    you can get a speedo healer from jaycar for about 40 bucks which can be changed when ever you change the diff!!
