Smile Measure: From ground to guard front and rear on your lowered VT-VX ! :)

    Hey ppls,

Please measure the following on your lowered VT-VX!
    and post here thanks

Took some measurements on my lowered VT Calais:

Front (distance from level ground to guard) - 640mm
Rear (distance from level ground to guard) - 620-630mm

Variation in the rear only due to LPG being full or half full.

Interested to see what other lowered VT-VX's measure up at.

    Cheers,
    VT97Calais

Just a note the best way to get a proper measurement is to measure from the bottom of the rim to the gaurd that way there is no way to mess it up with uneven ground that may appear level but isnt and will give you an exact figure..

    Just my 2 cents...

What about wheel size it will show different heights for different size wheels....

The best way is to the center of the wheel.

And my VT v6 is 620 front and 600 rear and thats with 11 liters of fuel in the tank

    Hey guys,

Centre of the rim is a bit tricky, its easier to place the end of the tape on the ground and take measurement where the tape touches the bottom of the guard...
But yeah if you can be bothered measuring from centre of the wheel to the guard then do that...

IMCRZY - what springs /shocks do u have man?
BoganV8 - in measuring using my technique what did you come up with please?

    Cheers

in nsw the cops can bust you for the distance between the center of the hub abd the highest point on you mudguards. theres a cop around wyong that knows it and is punishing anything he considers should be off the road.

I hate to say this but some police (no offence to members here) dont really know a hell of a lot when it comes to motor cars and the legal eagle of them....
