Default Indicators/Hazard lights just stay on

    Hi all,

I got a problem. Today I put on my hazard lights and after blinking normally for a few minutes they just froze. I turned them off but now each time I indicate or put on the hazard lights the light just stays instead of flashing on an off.

Can anyone please shed some light on this? Its a VX commodore executive.

It is probably a faulty flasher unit. You will find it in the fuse panel under the steering column.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

Funny thing... I just got back into the car a few hours later and all works fine again. Is it something I should be concerned about or just leave it till the next service?

See how it goes, if it happens again buy a new flasher unit for $20-30 and put it in. It's as simple as replacing a relay.

just replace it now before it fails in peak hour traffic, and you feel like a tool indicating with an indicator that doesn't flash
