Help with my vt

I've got a v6 vt commo auto, and when i'm in 2nd gear and take my foot off the accelarator then accelarate again it lacks power and makes a back firing sorta noise and goes fairly slow until i make it drop back to 2nd and go into 3rd, Any ideas?

maybe new leads or spark plugs, sounds like its having a hrd time under load

so its not kicking back a gear? just do a service on engine and trans, change oils and filters, if you haven't done it lately. if it still does it have a pro look at it.
