    Exclamation VX V6 LSD question

Would it be possible to fit an LSD center to a NA VX V6 auto and still keep the 3.08 gear ratio to avoid getting a tune? or would a tune still be needed even though gear ratio is the same? (trying to keep cost down at the moment!)

My next question is, if the above is possible would i have to get my hands on an lsd from a v6 or would it be possible to fit the standard 3.08 diff gears to a v8 lsd center off say a vx ss?

    thanks guys

mate if Ur gonna get a LSD get a one with a 3.46 bout 50-100 more you will have a better take of as its a higher ratio and save fuel, cost a mate how had it done 30 to recalibrate the speedo and thats it no tune needed best bang for Ur buck.

i don't believe u need a tune as it dosent affect the diff

Me too. I went the 3.46 gears and it made a huge difference in feel. I may be wrong but I think stock auto ratio is 3.07:1 on the VX

    V6 Ratio: 3.08:1
    Supercharged V6 Ratio: 3.08:1
    V8 Automatic Ratio: 3.08:1
    V8 Manual Ratio: 3.46:1

VX series stock ratios and the same for VY

Thats right but with the auto box it also needs to recalibrated as well which can be done by Tech 2
