Hi all,

Just bought my second Holden (first VP Calais now Holden VT Executive).

I'm trying to replace my fuel pump, now, i've managed to get the fuel tank down and get the fuel pump container out, however i don't know how to get the fuel pump itself out of the container it sits in.

Just a few tips on how to detach the fuel pump from the cables and containers would be MUCH appreciated, i've given up for the night, pretty damn tired, but i'll have a go at finishing it off tomorrow night.

Cheers in advance for your help.

This should help. May I suggest you buy a manual, they are very helpful and relatively cheap.
When you open the attached thumbnail, right click on the image and then select "view image" to get a bigger picture and you can also zoom in.

Fuel pumps can die pretty fast when there is no fuel going through it. I think it uses the fuel to cool down the pump, or something.

Usually the pump is always in a bubble of fuel. Yes. They usually do fail quiet quickly to, so ive been told.
