    Default Expensive SS

Driving home yesterday, I came alongside a truly immaculate, black VX SS. The car was for sale and from what I could see of the advert on the rear window, it had full leather trim. The car was fitted with highly polished 19's from their appearance, black tint and looked absolutely schmick....

and the owner wanted $22,000 for it!

    Default $22,000

Ouch....it would want to be packing a good 300rwkw for that sorta cash...
Then again, it might be just what someone is looking for........

yeah that dosent sound overly priced for a really good example. if i was in the market id be hunting closer to the 18k mark though.

^ Yeah but everyone's interpretation of 'immaculate' is different.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!

I have to admit that the car looked as good as any VX SS I have ever seen and was obviously very well cared for. The list of equpment on the ad was too long for me to read as I passed in the traffic, so there were other bits and pieces I haven't mentioned. Can't say whether it was manual or auto.

It was a 2001 VX, so probably Series One. No matter how good it was, I just think that 22k was over the top.

Yeah, as said above, in the 20's is the HSV VX Clubsport range, not a VX SS.

Mate just paid 17k for his black vx ss with only 1000k on it that was from a dealer too. A guy at work expects to get 22k for his s1 VT clubsport. No matter what you tell him he seems to think cause he spent money on it its worth more than he paid

I was in the market for an upgrade around a month ago and and I found that 18k+ was about the going rate for a SS of some sort of quality in the Melb Sth East Suburbs. Ended up giving it a miss due the price of petrol factor, lets face it it's never ever going to get cheaper in my lifetime it only going to go up! Mind you i just celebrated my 102nd birthday last week. Hello, heart attack, must fiiiiiiiinish beeeeeer..........

Give my right testis for an 8 though.

    Cheers, Daz.
