ok guys now im F**ked,i put a roof mount dvd player in the vt last night to awake and find my battery flat, now the big problem is that the key i have on the buttons and it wont open the door and i have a vx garnish so no key hole is there, how the hell do i get in.....
why wont the key open the door? is it the wrong key or something? the key (if the right one) should still unlock the door manually it will just be a little hard as its got to move the actuator in the door just dont wrench it to hard or you might snap your key!
Doesn't the key unlock the driver's door manually?
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
no it doesnt,i thought it would but cant remember if it did,i just got the car back from the panel beaters and dont know weither thay have stuffed it or the spare key in the centre console is the one that opens it,shouldnt the key that goes into the ignition be the one to open the drivers door...
how hard is it to replace the rear quarter window on the back door,
Its a common myth that this window is the cheapest to replace, but its the opposite, this is the most expensive to replace. Just smash the drivers window if you still need to get in.
Also check the how to section, pretty sure theres one in there of how to open the bonnet from outside the car.

tryed the key already, doesent seem to be the right one,ive been quoted $30 for the quarter window so thats going to be an option, just waiting to see my mates as to if we can open the door from the inside rear, not the master....
If you have simply flattened the battery, jack your car up and use stands. then connect a battery charger red lead to the thick wire on your starter motor and the black wire to a chasis bolt. leave charging for a couiple of hours and give it a shot
this should work...
if not, grab a small plastic/wooden chock, jam it into the top of the door jam (window area) this will give you 1cm access or so to play with, now get a coat hanger and bend it to access the door lock. if you have never done this before (and by the sounds of things you havent) then it may take you any where from a minute to a few hours.
Ill come over and break in your car for 20 bucks if you want![]()
its all good guys, got the ****s in the end and smashed the rear door quarter window, and picked up another for 30 bucks...so job finished, guess i have to get her tinted before c4c,thanks for all your help....
LOL why the hell didn't you just pop the bonnet from the ouside???
