About 2 years ago, I had planed to get myself a vu ute. But as luck would have it, I ran into financial issues and had to start saving again and because of that I stopped using my account (with a massive 3 posts)
2 years later, I got my car. But its no ute, its a 02 berlina (all stock) and I now have a set of vy2 senator rims (but no tyres yet) to fit . So, since I was only around for 3 posts, I though I would re introduce myself and shoot of a few questions.
1. how can I tell if my car has the optional LSD?
2. what are the most effective, bang for your buck mods for the ecotec engine
3. what about suspension? Should I go for the fe2 or is there a better alternitive
I dont have any pics as of yet, but I will get some soon!
1. it will tell you on the build plate what diff you have
2. do a search there is hundreds of thread like this
3. it depends on how low you wanna go.. most people tend to go with the king spring option with some new shocks (monroe or pedders)
I can recommend GSL for suspension Commodore Lowering Kits!

i did the lower for my car with aftermarket stuff and yeh it made it look lower but bugger all handling difference, i blame irs, i cant really see any benefit of it other than that it may be a bit smoother ride, but id rather spare my tyre life and have a stiffer back end around a corner anyway!
I got quoted $1200 from one place for shocks and springs, I was expecting half that!
