Hi Guys and Gals,
I have a VX S2 Luminaand have not had the cruise working since I bought the car! The other day I decided to try and "repair" it myself and bought a VY's stalk - which is exactly the same fitting as my previous one and also a new C/Cntrol wire to manifold as it had a broken clip at the manifold! Any who I installed it all and everything is perfect indicators working and high beam as before, I turned the key to accessories and the cruise light comes in the corner as they do (just to make sure it is working) Then after about 6seconds I hear a "CLICK" from the Cruise Module and the cruise light goes off… Anyways whatever I start the car and push the button and nothing! It does work now! So I turn the car off completely, turn it back on the accessories and wham the lights back on for those 6 seconds and “Click” off it goes again – started car again and nothing it wont turn on! So I tried putting a replacement Cruise Module in and connecting it – Same Problem! The wiring that I can see looks fine and the Fuse is also Fine! Someone please help me its angering me!! LOL!

Check that its working when on the road... take it for a spin.
Its probebly going to switch itself off if the car is at stand-still.
If you hit the brakes it will turn off... If you have it in park it will turn off... If you have your hand brake on it will turn off.
Hey, usually from previous cars commodores if had you can turn cruise on at any point and the light will stay on until the car is turned off or you press the button off, and tryed the drive around with it to see and to see if the light glove mite be faulty but its not. doesnt work!! seems like when i turn it to accessories and it does its system test it works but after then it doesnt work.. might be a computer problem ?![]()
Yeah I know this a very old thread , but this is the only one with the exact same problem as I am having. I have swapped cc modules and indicator stalks, but no change. Will check the brake lights and brake switch later today.
Ok, was a simply fix. Both brake lights had blown. Glad the spoiler LED's were still working. The cruise control and traction control are both working again.
