12k Budget for VT build... What series/model to get (First buyer)
Hey guys...
Looking at buying a VT as the one i was buying got put off... My budget is 12k, im not sure what series/model to get, what model is highly recommended and what performance upgrades are a must
i love the look of the fortune BodyKit, ive emailed for quote i expect it to be around $1500 + painted $800+ = $2100... Other exterior i want is clear rear lights, i believe they cost around $250, ill have to lookup which ones i want... I also want a vx rear boot, i hate the mid brake section of the current VT rear, looks ugly, not sure on the cost of this...
So what should i get and potential upgrades in the future...

IMO i would go for a VX S, or even a VY (you might find a VY S within you price range), mainly because the VX looks better and is alot better than a VT IMO, though its up too you mate...
vt or vx ss with the 5.7 liter. can pick up a vt ss for 10g eaisly these days. put on an exhaust and get a tune and u should have 300 kws and have fairly good fuel economy. chuck in some diff gears and u should ur car in the mid to high 12's. it all depends on what u want really. a fast car? or somthing with luxury or both?

yeh for 12g's u can get a vy easy for that money..... and also agian. dpends what u looking for? going fast or slow?

Ok, lets face it Hes young and he will learn alot more aobut cars by the time her around to putting body kit on, by that time he would have changed his mind a thousand times, I know i did. When i was looking at buying the VK i research "performance tail lights" big exhaust, body kit, all the go fast bits. Now ive decided (forced by law) to keep it stock, I wont be ever putting a kit or different wheels on the VK, thats changed it less then 2 years.
Also I think 12K is his budget to BUY the car, aswell as mods.

My step wants me to go to the government auctions done passed gawler, i presume their all vy's vz, i should be able to pick up something nice for 12k... someone please change me mind

buy my car, vt s manual, it doesnt look like a ****ed up lancer, you wont be a **** head and put it into a tree as quick as you can a v8, it actually sounds like a car unlike most whippersnipper exhaust systems on v6's and ill give it to ya for 11gs...
