I've seen a couple cars that have the VY Grill on a VX SS front bar...
Looks pretty damn good.
Anyone know about these? Are they all custom jobs? Where should I start looking?
thats a tough looking pic there Jesterarts!
looks really mean with the bonnet intakes and front bumper / grille!

Yeah... It looks sensational I think... I love the overal shape of the VX/VU but think the VY grill looks tuff... This is like the best idea ever! lol
I've gotten in touch with the owner to ask him where he got it done as its a custom plastic weld job...
what about custom cable tie, superglue mods?hehe
the front bar would have to do modified to suit the VY grill
the grill itself would just be a VY grill
there is a HBD grill that looks good

that does look mean.....
but... You dont have a VU??
lol....?
aZk.

Sorry, I must have missed the rule that says if i don't have a VU then I can't ask questions about it. lol
But yeah... how much would a custom plastic weld job like that cost about? who could do it?
I'm assuming I would need to buy a VY front bar from like a exec and give both to someone who can do it??
That ute Street Commodores with the mini tubs did and is now for sale has a similar thing but their grill looks like corn vomit.
Yeah that looks pretty cool... though I think the pic I posted up is more to my particular taste though...
Just out of curiosity... how is that HDB one attached? Chopping the old one out and jointing that one on?
And if so... who can do something like this as they would probably be a good starting point to get the one like i want done...
The HBD grill wasnt designed for the SS bumper, just the executive style VX bumper, so fitting them is a bit trickier - cutting of the bar is involved.
When I changed to an SS bumper I spent an afternoon with a jigsaw carving it up until the HBD grill fit, but its very easy to accidently take off too much, especially along the bottom.
I attached mine with screws over the top (like where the exec grills screw in) and I made some special clamps to hold in the bottom.
