    Default Warranty question

I have just purchased a beautiful VX Berlina from a reputable dealer. All is good except for (1) the climate control display screen is 'duller' on the left half than the right. I'd assume it is a blown bulb. and (2) the boot lids has no resistance when you shut it and as a result it slams. I's guess the struts need regassing. Would these repairs be covered by the three month/5000 km dealer warranty?.....

When I bought my car the rear door switches for the windows and the trip computer switch didn't illuminate and were replaced for free under the three month warranty.
By the way, you posted in the "My Ride" section.

I'd say you've got a better chance with the boot struts then the climate control. They should have checked that b4 it was put in the yard. Maybe that blown bulb is a sign to get phreddy to do your dash

The things covered under warranty are the things that render the car unserviceable, not necessarily unroadworthy. The fact that the boot opens and shuts and one side of the display is a bit duller means the car can still be used for it's purpose, IE driven safely. You could try, but it is at the discretion of the dealer.
