Hi All,
I have a VXII LS1 wagon and my suspension is in need of help
Currently I have king spring low in the front and rear with the standard shockers.
In the rear though i have gone with extra heavy duty's as i do carry weight and tow from time to time.
On the weekend though i headed up to winto for the V8 races and with a full car load of mates and luggage it would bottom out the exhaust on the road over nearly every bump.
It has not done this before but this is the first time i have had that much weight in the car.
My question is how can i stop this from happening when i carry such a heavy load? I dont want to put any stiffer springs in the rear as when its empty it rides rough as it is.
I have heard about poly air bags that go in side your springs. Has anyone used these? and how did you find them to perform with load. When loaded it dropped about 3 inches from where it sits empty so i want to try and stop this.
Any suggestions????
We have at work supplied and fitted alot of the bags to rear of commodores sedan and wagons and people say they are great to use as they dont need to be fully pumped up all the time just have to leave a min of 5-10psi in them so they dont get pinched between the coils when no in use..
They do carry a fair bit of weight but you need to pump them up before you load the car as they wont rasie the vehicle after you have loaded it... As they are air assist not a full air suspension like in below link so they wont raise the vehicle after you have loaded it up but the ones in the link below will as it replaces your coil....
