Heh - whoever manufactures them, they're not game to put their brand on.

Seriously, they are pretty crappy. (same as for VY/VZ) The head units are capable of around 16-17WRMS (into 4 ohms) before they start to clip, and those ones are rated at 15WRMS as Fletch posted above. Even a modest spend at your local audio shop will yield an improvement in the sound. 6" speakers should drop straight into the mounting plinths, 6.5" will require a little trimming work but they go in.

I have fit 6.5" Alpine splits - that's what made it so easy to read the specs off the old ones. Had to cut the plastic mounts - sooo easy, no problem.

What about the parcel shelf subs in the premium audio package ? I'd like to use the sub-outs from my new head unit to get better control, and run a bigger amp for bigger punch - but is there any point without changing the factory subs?

thx for quik reply John,
sorry for all the questions but i found out yesterday that my vx has what i think are tweeters, the frontest speekers at the bottom of the front windscreen. So my question is are the tweeters ok to just leave in and if i do take em out will it be a hard job to put sum better ones in?

ps im a intermediate in car audio jargon.

Keeping in mind that ive currently got the 4x15wRMS stock speakers, 2x tweeters, 2x 250max Watt 6x9's in parcel and 2 x12inch sony xplod subs and a 600watt 4ch amp

tweeders are easy to change theres a couple of screws underneath the windscreen. if u but some decent speakers they should come with tweeders. ive got some alpine type r 6.5inch splits in the front and they came with tweeders and there pretty damn good but i think there a bit pricy. also dont bother with 6x9's if ur gonna get subs maybe just get another pair of 6.5's for the rear doors but i dont think ull really need them.
