    Default trouble starting vx ls1

    i have a vx ls1 6spd when i try start it it ticks like the battery is flat then starts...other times i get nothing doesnt even try to start....but if i leave it for a bit it starts fine....and i can push start it ok aswell what could it be?? i was thinking battery/ignition module/neutral switch just drives me crazy

    Could be the battery or a bad connection. Try cleaning the terminals and check the connection of the large cable at the starter motor. The problem might also be the starter motor itself.

    a mates car does the exact same thing. although not an ls1, its a 626, im guessing it would be the same thing. starter motor solenoid. so yea like stencil said you are probably up for a starter motor

    Check the wire at the back of the starter motor, known for them to come off.

    was almoast certain it was the battery when it didnt start then started straight away with a jump start but i was wrong...was in town today and it did it again had to get a random to give me a push...when i turn the key its like something is sparking like a zap noise comming from under the bonnet was maybee thinking a relay...i know there was a fault with the series 1 relays and had to be upgraded???? dunno but its really starting to **** me...its hard when i cant get someone to look at it coz no one can pick me up from the auto elec!!
