I payed $9400 for mine a couple of months back (private sale) 135000 km.they were going for around $13000 or 14000 at a yard for a series one 5 litre. I found a series 2 5.7 litre with 160000 km at a yard for $16000 and it was very tidy .I would suggest checking the rubber coupling on the rear of the gearbox ,and clutch got caught out on both of these.
hope this helps.

Seriously, a car is worth as much as you are prepared to pay for it.

prices seem to depend on state, but go for a S2 VT SS or VX SS gotta be an LS1.

Go the Vx ss, Newer, less problems, Gen III 5.7L, i've seen them at auction go for around 10 - 14 K, at Pickles Auctions for an auto with 120Km on the clock.
