Default Help Me Please I Have Tried Everythin To Fix My Vt

my vt commodore v6 on gas is having its problems,recently the engine light came on and i lost fourth gear and it would cluck into gear, took to mechanic and he said tps module came up on scanner, bought new one worked good for weekend but the kick down in gear box would not work all time,sometimes at eighty it would drop back when accelarator flat to floor but other times goes into safe mode(limp mode) and only accelerates to 3000rpm than changes.however if as soon as engine light comes on if i turn car off n on straight away its like it resets computer cause car goes normal for half hour.... i have no idea wat it could be, can someone please help or give me a number to take car to that is located in south eastern suburbs of victoria.....could it be my computer OR ANY IDEAS PLEASE MESSAGE ME

get the connection to the TPS cleaned & checked for terminal tightness, this should solve the problem

check the earth wire on the body next to the battery most the time the second wire is loose and the wire on the back of the passanger side head can get loose aswell if they are ok you could have a comp fault uncommon but i have seen it at work once or twice sometime you can dissconnect battery, remove left hand kick panel and unplug comp for alittle bit then connect back up and see how you go.
