VT Calais Clockspring Replacement

As the topic says i have a VT Calais which needs the clockspring replaced and i was wondering i got one from a VT without the stereo controls on the steering wheel would it matter.

I can't be sure with VT/VX Mate, but definitely in VY/VZ the clockspring is different. Lower end models only have as many connections through that as they need. It may be different with earlier generations too. Anyone add to that??

they are different, you could use it but your controls wouldnt work

Thanks for the replys guys, i think i'll make sure i get one from a car that has the stereo controls on the wheel.
