Hi,
A few months ago i had issues with starting (cranks for ages and doesnt start). The error codes all pointed to crank, 46, 47, 48, 49 etc.
So i buy a crank sensor and the first day, it was fine, drove around and all is good. Second day the car wouldnt start, At All.
Got it towed to my dad's, we pulled out the new CAS and put the old one back in. Guess what, it starts again.
After that i had no issues until a week or 2 later and since then its happened 3 or 4 times.
Every time it wont start, i happen to be in a shopping centre car park so
the only thing that is consistant with the 4 times that it has happened is that the engine is warm.
Should i be concentrating on the CAS still? Should i turn my attention to other parts of the car even though the error codes are directing me to CAS???
Had same problem with my vt took it to mechanic put the scanner on it and it came up that cas faulty put new one in no change then put new module under coil pack still no fix put new barrel and coded new key still no fix mechanic then suggested that something wrong with bcm needs to be taken out sent away and tested said i'll sleep on that one as all i could see was big $$$$ took it to wreckers told him problem said it fuel related put 2nd hand fuel rail on no fix then tried another computer still no fix swaped bcm still no fix had him stumped then swaped start relay fuse and hey presto all good cost me $500 to find out that a $5 fuse fixed it that not good
Can you tell me where the SRF is? I might try this.
I have all sorts of issues a few months ago. Cleaned out the throttle, new leads and stuff, car runs fine.
I busted a belt and it got caught around the Harmonic Balancer. Apparently, this throws out the CAS. Lights come up, but wont kick over and doors wont unlock. Could be something simple like this.
can u hear your fuel pump prime when u crank it over!!! check fuel pump fuse and fuses small stuff first to eliminate to the main problem???could be (cas) could be why its crankin but not starting!!!
