vt 5litre exhaust mod.

hey all was curious as to what everyone thinks would be the best exhaust upgrade to do to my vt. its is the 5 litre engine, i was goin to get it done with d&t's in salisbury and they recomended me with pacemaker extractors, 3 inch stainless, highflow cats, resi's and hsv tips. im fair sure this would make it sound loud and good but with alot of droan. but would it cause me to loose power. they told me it will gain 20ish kws. or should i go for a 2 and a half exhaust with extractors, cats, and resis. this is my first 8 engine so i am unsure of what to get fitted and also they quoted me an unstable $2600. is this price good. if not can anyone recomend me a good exhaust place where i wont be paying for the name so to say and still get good quality. cheers

I fitted pacemaker extractors, a high flow cat and a 2 1/2" single system to my VP and it was one of the fastest bolt on cars around. If you buy the parts new and fit it yourself they should cost around $1,100 or less. I can't see more than $200 or so to fit it.
