hey guys i just threw in a set of lovells ssls and had the guards rolled in the rear of my vx ss but my 20s still scrub out on the screw that holds the bumper and the inner plastic guard in its place...the tyre dude said he can cut out the metal and prob roll it back a little more...was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem with theirs and what they did to fix it??
Are we talking about the one on the rear wheel arches?
I jst ditched the screw and also put he plastic inner guard abit when i was having issues with mine...
Good luck
wow... I must have been more drunk last night that I thought.
Translation:
I removed the screw that holds the plastic inner guard to the arch lip just above where it meets the plastic bumper.
Then I was able to roll that in abit more though it was a pain due to the way the metal is shaped on that corner area.
Also, once you have rolled the metal you will notice that the plastic inner guard will stick out and still scrub on your tyre (its like got its own lip that normally sits in the metal arch and the screw goes into, since we're removing the screw, we are not worried about this)... trim this bit accordingly and you should be right.
Keeping in mind I did my guards with 19's but sitting on SSSL springs so I figure that about evens it out to where your situation is.
Thats abit better I think..lol
Good luck mate!
My VT Calais S1 - with SL King's all round is scrubbing with VE SSV's (245/35/19) rubber, it appears as though the screw holding the bumper to the rear qtr panel & the metal guard is scraping on the top sidewall section, cutting into the tyre.
I hope that by getting the guards rolled this fixes the problem!
Anyone else experienced similar problems with the same tyre size and Super Low springs on a VT ?
Cheers,

all good i removed the screw and cut a bit of the plastic inner guard a little and rolled the guards more now no scrubbing what so ever.....thanks jesternats!!!
