VT Commodore Gear Handle

Hi I have a 1999 VT commodore Olympic edition auto. My gear stick has a problem where the push down button to change the gears has popped up and is sticking out with the spring showing. Do I need to replace the gear stick with a new one?

It sounds like the pin in the shifter has broken or fallen out.

He should know easy enough before removing all the gear, If the shifter works without the button, It's out.
Mine done the same thing, Almost cost me a RWC.. I think holden now sell pins with clips on the ends so they don't fall out?.
