    Default t5 5 speed in a VX ecotec

    I currently have a VX ecotec auto and i needed to find out if a t5 gearbox out of a VS ecotec would fit. can any one help?
    VX Executive S2
    VZ monaro front end, GTO rear lights, VX SS rear bar & side skirts, 18" deep dish Apec rims, 18% tint, crystal side indicators

    SUSPENSION: D2 damper and height adjustable coil overs, RDA drilled and slotted gold rotors, Green stuff brake pads, Whiteline strut brace

    ENGINE: Port & polish heads, FIT 1.9 rockers, polished twin TB plenum, port & polish 71mm AFM, Pro racing series 10mm top gun ignition leads, FIT laser cut heat shields, lukey cat back, manifold heat insulator

    Yes fits, you might need a home made gearbox mount but they are available since the saloon cars currently run this setup

    You will need to do somthing to convert the t5 to a hydraulic actuator as they are cable driven. You might be able to make a bracket up and mount the actuator off the old gbox onto it.
    I have searched high and low for somthing specific to fit but have had no luck, you will have to modify and make somthing to fit.

    They might know who makes the parts since they supply the straight cut gear set for the saloon cars T5's

    Thanks for the info everyone, i think il go for the getrag instead sounds a lot simpler.
