in the king springs catalogue, it lists various part numbers for various models etc. when i look up springs for a VX V6 sedan i find the normal "Sedan", then theres "FE2" and then theres "Sports". what is sports? i'm thinking its Lows just a bit harder, cos the part number for Sports is the same for Lows, just with HD at the end of it. so its the same height, just harder, right?
Hey bud try this list, just dropped super lows under mine yesterday
KHFL-47SL KHRL-46HD they are about an inch lower than FE2. If you want lower go the ultra lows KHFL-47SSL KHRL-46SLHD.
They are not ultra lows
ultra lows are khrl-46sssl (three s)
there is also no hd after the part number if it has a sl after it
khrl-46sl and khrl-46hd will give you pretty much the same ride hight just a little bit more spring in the rear
there was so much wrong with that statement
HHMMM the only numbers with 3sss in them seem to suit VE????
That list i added in my first post was taken from the king spring site about a week ago when i lowered my car, it clearly list's KHRL-46SLHD yes thats right SLHD! for VT VX VY VZ V6+V8 sedan rear Ultra low.
Any way caprice5L as i said i put KHFL-47SL front and KHRL-46HD rear in mine is about an inch lower than FE2 give or take a few mm
the book does not show all the possible options.. I GUARANTEE IT..
i work at repco and speak to the guys at kings springs on a regualar basis..
they part numbers for the irs rear of a commodore go like this
KHRL-46 < LOW
KHRL-46HD <SUPER LOW
KHRL-46SSL <SUPER SUPER LOW
KHRL-46SSSL < ULTRA LOW
i have a vt v6 sedan, recently fitted SL springs myself.
fronts - KHFL-47SL these are definitly super lows for a V6 VT/VX sedan
rears KHRL-46 these are definitely super lows for a V6 VT/VX sedan or you can get KHRL-46HD for heavy duty stiffer super low springs.
king springs have change there codes for 2009 catalogue and now dont sit as low
SLHD is the new ultra low
so ur gonna have to look for 2nd hand springs
