    Default Auto Box improvements??

my auto transmission on my super6 has been shifting gears quite ordinary ever since iv had the car. i thought that all of them were that crap until recently when iv been in a few of my mates cars who have the same box, and the difference is definitely noticeable. My auto changes from 1st to 2nd quite hard and rough and the others gear changes r real slow.
it recently had the fluid changed but that didnt do anything.
i just wanted to know of ways to get the auto to shift alot better than it is atm.
    cheers

If the box has been shift kitted or just had a Corvette servo alone fitted a trans shop should see this easily.

A spring in the 2nd accumulator housing may be broken, or swapped for one too stiff by someone trying to do a dodgy mod giving the firm shift.

RVO have been very helpful for me, it may pay to give them a call.

The 2nd apply servo is responsible for applying and releasing the band on the drum in 2nd. The Corvette (on the left in the pic) has a much larger apply area (the outer) than the stock servo. It catches trans fluid on the apply area of the piston and that pushes a shaft which controls the band apply speed and pressure.

Sounds like you may have one of these installed: Shift Kits | Ford Holden Automatic Transmission Shift Kit Australia

I've read (on these forums) that the higher gears don't shift hard with this installed.
