I have a VT Calais with superlows currently using stockies as the
VE SSV 19's with 245/35/19 tyres scrub quite badly up the back.
Has anyone here utilised Protek Tyres & Wheels to get their guards rolled?
Interested to know if they are the place to do the work.
Also if you can reccomend any other local places in Sth East Suburbs of Melbourne.
Much appreciated,
Cheers,

nope, but can ya let me no a price as im looking around too
^^^ you have a VXII, he has a VT S1... your rear suspension if upgraded from his.
That would be the difference... slightly better geometry in the back...
Hope that clears that us.
In regard to the rolling of guards...
See how much a guard roller is... might be worth while getting one and doing it yourself... then selling of the roller... ?
wheels australia at ballarat do the gaurd rolling for $25 a gaurd if you plan to travel
I need to get mine done as i just got 20"s on my 97 Vt with pedders super lows.
I got quoted $80 each guard!
So if anyone has found a place that does a good job in the S.E. suburbs or Melbourne then hit us up!
What exactly is guard rolling? Just rolling the mudguards up so they dont scrape?
The tyre factory dont roll guads.
does anyone know somewhere SE Melb where i can get my guards rolled?
Most panel beaters will do it... thought they won't garantee that they won't crack the paint.
I got contact of a portable bloke who is based in tullamarine. nice bloke.
He is able to do it for $120 for rears only. so $60 a guard. will take approx 2 hours.
He can come to me for $60 extra. but i think ill just take the drive there.
I think that price is ok. and will help with got a car load.
If anyone wants their done, pm me and ill post his number.
I got quoted $80 from a place in Ferntree Gully, i think they are called Factory Direct Outlet Tyres and Wheels.
I dont think that they heat the guards so your paint may crack and all.
But for $80 and because its close for me im going to get them to do mine.
PM me if you want there number.
97 VT Pov Pak
20" Wheels
7" touch screen
Bass- TOO MUCH!
NEW PIC'S UP!
Can anyone explain the different types of guard rolling? i thought somebody just hit them out with a hammer and i wasent all for that? but heating the gaurds then doing it? will the paint chip or disfigure in anyway?
