Default Vt engine problem

hi guys just wondering if something serios is wrong with my car, yesterday i was reversing out of my driveway got all the way out, then put it in drive and it stopped running, just conked out. i then tried to start it a couple of times but it wouldn't start so i got it off the road. i left it for about 5 mins then tried again and it started fine.

For a while now but when you start the engine it doesnt sound right, and sounds like it is stuggling to start. other times it takes to goes for it to start. Just wondering if anyone has an idea of what it could be. thanks

If the car has high ks the fuel pump is a possibility. Hard to say without more info but if you can't hear the pump priming for a few seconds when the key is at ACC that's where I'd be looking.

Its happening to mine right now... only i think its my battery, there was snow two weeks ago and i think the battery froze, takes two to five goes to start
But yeah could also be the fuel pump... I got a quote for a new internal pump from supercheap for $109.
Keep us informed if you find the prob

I once had the same problem, turned out the key head was knackered. Only had the problem when using one particular key.

Not sure if its a fuel pump issue....probably a faulty sensor somewhere. Have you checked your trip computer to see if it has logged any errors?

Sounds like it might be the Crank Angle Sensor, search the forums for that sensor.
Or could be fuel pump.

I had a similar issue once and it was the idle valve on the throttle body. It was just real dirty and the valve was sticking and starving the engine of air. If I applied even a tiny amount of revs it was fine but as soon as it idled she cut out.
I took off the throttle body and gave it a good clean and all was good. In fact, much better!

Ok my problems fixed.

The battery had froze when it snowed so now its thawed it starts fine.
It was runnin like crap till i replaces the leads & plugs.
Now she kicks over with one turn and doesnt skip a beat.

Test ur battery.....
Make sure ur leads arent shorting on the motor as they run under the alternator and that their not the factory leads... the factory leads dont have very good shield protection so they may jump lead to lead therefore ur engine wont run and or it will missfire. I picked up a set of bosch performance leads from superdear for $100.
Best $100 i think ive spent on the car!
