Default VT hot warning.

Hi everyone.
Had a problem heading home from work the other night.
The hot warning dash alarm came on and the temp gauge started heading toward the top. Not wanting to do any damage I pulled over and got a tow home from the roadside assist guys.
Looking under the bonnet it appears that the was some coolant leaking from some where and appeared to be sprayed up underneath the bonnet near where you check the coolant level.
Haven't had this car long. Anyone know of anything that might be the cause that could be an easy fix?
Got it converted to LPG about 2 weeks ago which has been going great. My mate and I could smell a little bit of LPG for a few secs, for the first and only time since the conversion was done, about 2 kms before she went hot?
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.
Cheers.

at a guess you aren't using the right coolant and its boiled

flush the radiator and put in some new coolant and make sure it is v series rated or it will happen again

As above response or check your radiator cap is the correct one for your car. It could also be you may need a new radiator cap.

"at a guess you aren't using the right coolant and its boiled"

The coolant shouldn't get so hot that it boils under normal driving conditions!
... provided the system is full, even plain water will suffice.

Take it back to the LPG installer pronto.

Default Looks like LPG was the problem.

Had a day off today so did some trouble shooting.
Filled up the radiator.
Ran the car on petrol for a while looking for leaks and checking temp. Everything was normal.
Turned off engine for a bit.
Started on LPG for a minute or so. Coolant frothing out the overflow. Smelling of LPG. So LPG definitely the culprit here.
LPG getting into the cooling system.
When installing the LPG they connect it to the heater hoses and run water through the converter where the liquid becomes a gas before entering the engine. The water stops everything from freezing which would eventually stop the LPG from getting to the engine.
This only the only place where the LPG and the cooling system meet so problem solved!!
Taken it back to the LPG guy, drove 20k there happily on petrol, they are going to replace the converter.
Thanks for those who posted.
Thought I would post this in case anyone else ever has the problem.
Other than this issue, LPG is great. Save $50/wk running on gas....
Cheers.
