front struts for VU

as shown on the thread for my car, my car has been in a pretty hefty collision. if i have to replace my driver side front strut do i need to replace the other side aswell?

I had the same thing happen and insurance only paid for the left strut. It was **** so I got a right one fitted at my expense and turned out the repairer just painted the damaged one in the first place so it let go a month later.

I would be looking at the radius rod and bush at the k frame too, they bend easy as in a smash.
