Smile Fitting Cruise to Vt series 2

Hey just wondering if the wiring is already in my vt it is an ex compan car and is a series 2 vt commodore executive ive already looked under the bonnet where the module goes and in the big loom section around the tower so im wondering if they made models without the wiring and if so does the kit from holden come with the wiring as well Thanks guys

if its a series 2 it should have cruise control already in it only series 1 came out with no cruise control so iam pretty sure ur vt is a series 1, and no the wiring isnt there just the plate where the cruise control module bolts on!!!!

As far as I know, base model commodores both series 1 and 2 for VTs did not come with the cruise control option. Its also likely the harness for the cruise control option does not exist in this model either if the basic BCM is in your car.

Also VT series 1 were built right up to 2000. Series 2 VT were built from around 2000 onwards including the Olympic editions until the VX was released. Clear rear indicators is not a good confirmation as many here already know how to change the rear lamps and debadge/apply garnish etc. Its only a simple mod too. The best way to find out is read the VIN located near your front windscreen.

gday just wondering roughly how much $ the cruise control from holden (with everything included) cost you? also how easy was it to install? did you do it yourself or did you get an auto sparky to fit it? my car is a 1998 vt so doesnt come with c/c but i am looking at getting it installed.

i had a 99 vt series 2 exec and it had factory cruise control in it and it had the low BCM instaled, so i dont think it matters what BCM you have in it.

and by the way VT series 2 was Released in June 1999
