have you logged any fault codes?
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
just a 5 liter no codes
might be a coil dying. it will be the electrical side of things by the sounds of it.
Mine did that also,if you have done the coil try and borrow another ignition module and see what happens.Mine was runnind very bad so we swapped the module and it was betterbut replacing the coil fixed it for good.
ignition module can do this ??
check ur leads arent crossing eachother or shorting on the engine somewhere,
also make sure your leads are ALL plugged in correctly on both ends![]()
all leads been checked, also tryed another ignition module off a mate still no luck, i thinking dissy ?? the hall sensor what does this do when it plays up ??
any one had problems with there dizzy ?? took the car to ultra tune put on tech 2 and no code
might be internal?
Not sure if the VT 5L is effected by this, but VN-VS 5Ls are prone to the erratic idle thing. Mine seemed to fix after i re earthed the alternator. Can get pics of what i mean if you want (to see if the VT is the saem as my VP)
