anyone know the process to ghosting tail lights? is it a special type of paint?

i've heard of tinting a good quality clear paint is a good idea and using a gun.

i think this is what Airstrike has done to his taillights

kind of like a smokey tinted finish.

It's not legal, but if that doesn't bother you..

You can get tint spray at auto shops - "for offroad use".

That would b VHT night shades u can get it at super cheap 4 like $20 aslong as u can still see ur lights from 200m away its legal. If u want a more glossy look and u just use the night shades can it will give u a bit of a mat finish, buy some clear that allows u 2 rub back and polish up.

still illegal as its modifying an ADR approved light.

niteshades goes on the outside of the lens. do one coat at a time and let it dry, see if you like it and if enough light comes through, then do more coats til its how you want it. it dries darker than when its wet

thanks for the help guys, i bought the nightshades today for 17 bucks at super cheap and a can of top coat clear. i'll post a DIY if it comes out well enough... just gotta wait to get my car back lol.

paint it on till its dripping off!!!! i did it on my vc wagon and you could still easiy put it in reverse and see where ur going. the light globes just cut through the paint like nothing else.

Yeah i want to do mine was thinkin bout buyin stick on window tint from auto barn for a super glossy finish any one tried this??
