Default digital temp and volt readout via trip computer controls

Ive read b4 here how the voltage and temp can be displayed using the mode and arrow buttons on the vx trip computer and would like to know how to do that and anything else that can be accessed through here that isnt listed in the owners manual.

Ive looked through the list of various stickies and can only find stuff about the fault codes which is accessed via the underdash connector.

    Thanks.

I think you hold the mode and down button while you start the car.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
