Tinting
Going to get my VX tinted.
Got 3 quotes from companies in price range which are:
Solstop, Sungard and Solartint
Anyone had work done by any of these companies?
Just trying to decide which will be best.

hmm never heard of em...and im a tinter lol. Just ask if they have metallised film, if so your all good.

I've heard Solartint are the best, especially if you're going to get your back windscreen tinted with the demister. that's who I went with for my VX, and they did a fab job....
Mine need retinted ,As you are a tinter ,how hard is it to remove the old tint ? or is it best lest to the profesionals.

Removing old tint is generally covered in the price to tint your windows.
profesional tinter will use a steamer.... but just grab a heat gun and blade n start peeling it off
then use a steelwool sponge to remove the old glue
most tinters charge 50-100 to remove old tint.
just be careful of the demister on rear window dont cut or scrape through it as it will no longer work but can be repaired.
im also a tinter....
leave it to us pros as we now how to get it off and not wreck the demister

hey has any one used that diy tint ? any good ? in know you pros are gunna say dont use it use a pro ,but if anyone has done it them selfs id like to hear.
Tint-a-car do a good job and you should be able to get a 20% tint which looks far better than the standard darkest legal. Darkest legal is not really tinted much at all, 20% looks nice.
my brother in law put it on his car years ago looked good when he put it on but with in 12 months it was stuffed just make sure you get good film i am thinking of selling pre cut kits as some ppl want to put it on them self
