    Default power/acceleration problems

    Hi i got a problem with my vt when i was coming from a 60 zone to a 80 i flatend it and all it done was die in the ass and jerked and carryied on then it picked back up and i was crusing it does the same thing when i try to kick it out i dont know whats up does anyone.

    Reset your computer.

    If that doesn't help, probably a weak fuel pump.

    Also have you coil packs checked.

    I had the same problem with my VT Calais on the weekend. The missus said it was chugging when she put her foot down but would then cruise on fine after. I checked the leads and plugs and found that one of the leads was fried to the plug so I bought new leads and plugs, installed them and now the car is back to normal.
    So definately check your leads as just one faulty lead can cause all sorts of problems.

    Purge hose under the throttle body coming off is more than a common fault on the ecotecs.

    yeah i agree with jav if there is a really loud sucking noise like you got a massive cai then take off plastic engine cover and there will be a small hose loose at back of engine

    id put my money on a set of new plug leads. i had same problem, fixed my car
    450 good reasons to just power on
