    Default VT mod suggestions?

    Hi guys...

Here's my car about a week ago:

Since that photo was taken, it is now superlow and has a nice exhaust.

I was all set on getting a VT clubby bodykit but now I'm not so sure. It's going to cost me about $3100. I got quoted $1700 for the bodykit and $1420 for painting and installation. That's a small fortune to spend. If you know anywhere cheaper or a better/cheaper kit, feel free to let me know. I'm in vic.

A couple of guys I know are advising me against it because they say it will scrape and therefore I'll need to keep spending on maintenance/repairs. One guy said I should just paint the bottom and put a spoiler on it. But I'm not sure.

What would you do to mod it if it was your car?

Yeah colour code and lowered looks great on a VT. Monaro or projector headlights of a good design would look clean

Not much on eBay that suits a VT. Guy selling a VY body kit in vic with monaro side skirts for $450 - not sure how that'd go.

do monkey paint or only send them stock? The painting is costing me the $$$.

Heard a few stories like that about eBay. It's better to pay for quality I suppose.

I've decided not to worry about the body kit. I think the car is looking pretty good already and I don't really think a body kit is required. We'll see how I feel when I get more dough.

Go Cats.Love the sticker.Anyway you can do some inexpensive mods to the car both inside and out that make em stand out.Inside my clubsport i have fitted satin chrome door handles, vents and vy ss pedals and painted the dash to match and changed the cluster face to purple. All this for around 300 bucks. Then there is the exterior.I have put on black altezza lights on the front and series 2 rear lights on the back with clear side indicators (unless you already have a series 2).You could also go for the vx look if you want and change the rear garnish and either put vx lights in or monaro tail lights.Cars that are debadged look good as well.Another cheap thing to do is paint your brake calipers. You can also change grill etc.You could also consider an SS body kit.
Check out my ride and hope this helps....
