Default Help car is playing up

Just recently on my way to work on Friday and Monday my car started beeping and the word "HOT" flashed on the dash, problem being the needle on the temp gauge was just under the middle line but then all of a sudden jumped to up to near the "red hot line", then seconds late went back down to the norm. Whats even stranger is it happened again this morning in the exact same spot (i kid you not). I have checked all my oik and water they are all okay.

Any one have any ideas what this would be?

Yep if its reading HOT on the dash and you get out to check it (feeling he top & bottom hoses) and its still cold or warm than it will no doubt be a sensor.

Mines been a company car till I got it (im the second owner) and it had 255.000kms (highway kms) on the clock when i got it. I have full service history and its been well looked after.
Its now clicked over to the 261.000 mark and Is still running like a dream.
But after a certain amount of kms or years the contacts seem to get dirty in the sensors and they play up a bit

As for it happening in the same spot, maybe its a coincidence, or maybe your parked under or over high voltage power cables and could be interfearing with the ecu
