    Default Car Temp Gauge

Just have a quick question regarding something new I have noticed about the temp gauge in my 02 VX Series II Executive.

As i drive along, after the car has warmed up (say about 5-10 minutes driving) the temp gauge is what I call normal (middle of the quarter and half marks on the gauge)

For the past month or so, I have noticed once I take my foot off the accelerator to cruise at either 50km/hr or 110km/hr (speed does not matter) for a period or time, the temp gauge will go down to the quarter mark (even happens whilst stopped at traffic lights for a long period and the car is just idles).

However, once I put the foot on the accelerator, it will go back to normal but at the same time the car doesn't feel like its running all that well. It's been serviced in july.

I have never noticed this before in all the time I've been driving the car.

Has anyone ever experienced this sort of problem? Or something similar?

Just hoping its normal, due to the car will be doing a very long haul to Queensland soon!

May pay to have the thermostat replaced and coolant flush before the long trip.
Might also be a temp sensor fault.
