Hey mate i have a 2.5" redback exhaust from the cat back with just the front muffler (like the one your looking at) with a hotdog resi to stop drone. Got a good idle, sounds good when you give it a bit and has a nice little crackle. but yeah buy that, its cheap.
What do people mean when they say "straight through" exhaust, that one is mandrel bent. difference or....?

straight through means that the exhaust doesn't have to do crazy crap to get through the system. it is basically an open pipe from cat to back. the muffler reduces noise by having little holes in the pipe and padding around those holes. but it's still a straight pipe, hence 'straight through'. reduces backpressure because backpressure = enemy. normal mufflers work differently to this, they are much better at reducing noise but are much less efficient at letting the exhaust through.
Hmm. I got mine installed last Friday.
but i got it done with two mufflers. The guy explained to me that with on muffler its much louder as not as much sound filter and makes your chances of being pulled over double. I got it for a price of $285 with the chrome tip welded on. He said that one muffler would be cheaper.
My sound isnt amazingly loud, it just fine (rather cute) lol
Plus you only hear it nicely when your not driving with music
Well my exhaust just came today...only time will tell what happens now

Gday guys, i just got my exhaust put on. i am happy with the sound. Although i noticed that when i planted my foot, it didn't kick back into 1st and take it quickly...it sounded like 2nd and then it chugged along.
This JUST happened after putting my redback 2.5inch catback....are they in anyway linked?
