Water Trickle

Hey Everyone. New to this Forum. Im 17 and and have a VX Commodore with 19" WHeels . More of a Bike rider but love my cars also. Enough said, When the car is Ideling, i can here water flowing through pipes, almost like under the dash, Is that normal at all? Just suspect its the heater Pipes with coolent flowing through. any ideas?

sounds about right, mine does this when the coolant level gets low, top it up and it goes away.

You have air in the system somewhere.

I drive a vp also.

check that the level is up at the radiator cap and overflow.

get the engine to operating temp, then crack the little brass screw ontop of the thermostat housing until straight water comes out - you will need to remove the engine cover to do this

Thanks for the info. All the levels are right, I just released the air out, was a bit in there, just will wait and see if its resolved. Also i noticed when you remove the cap, there is nothing there ( when cold ) as i think it just runs back down to the tank. is this right? the Level is correct when you use the stick to messure it. its hidden so it uses a stick to messure.
