I have a VXII SS and would like to be able to read the 'trouble codes' out of the ECU. The vehicle has the MIL showing.
I have been to a mechanic mate and the code is Oil Pressure Sensor High Volts.
I purchased a ELM327 USB device off ebay. This works great with a multitude of software to read rpm, oxygen sensor voltage levels etc. So the software is communicating with the ECU.
However no software I have found has even indicated the MIL light is 'on' or any error codes.
Obviously the communications protocol to return error codes is not supported by the software. Is there a terminal command that I can send to the ELM327 to get a response from the ECU to indicate the codes?
Is EFIlive the only software that can do this? I have not tried it yet, but it claims it will read the error codes from the Holden LS1.
Not sure if this has been solved previously, have searched through the forum. Apologise if it has.
Thanks
